I am Scott Alldrick, the founder & owner of Orthopodics.  I have 13 years of experience working in the Elite Sport World, from treating semi professional players to professionals who have represented their country, including England at cricket and football.  I do this alongside my NHS role as an MSK Specialist Extended Scope Podiatrist.

I set up Orthopodics to bridge the gap between the work of a Sports Podiatrist and that of Consultants in Sports and Exercise Medicine, Orthopaedics and Podiatric Surgery, for injuries of the foot and ankle. Though originally a business for anyone to refer themselves, such was the success, I now only exclusively treats players in Elite Sport.  Many of the players that wear insoles prescribed by myself are so happy with them that they request replacement pairs on a regular basis, even once they have moved clubs.

My NHS role includes treating patients with foot and ankle problems, to exhaust treatment options and prevent the need for surgery, unless the presentation suggests this might be the best option moving forwards. Should this be the case I can explain an  overview of what surgery may involve, the risks, benefits and implications.  This Musculoskeletal (MSK) role has a strong focus on Rheumatological conditions.  I have built an excellent reputation across the Midlands, where I lecture to GPs, Advanced / ESP Physiotherapists, under and post graduate students.  I have developed and review evidence based, cost effective, treatment pathways, for foot and ankle conditions for the local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) and GPs to follow or use a guide for when to refer patients for more specialist care.

I place my success and pride myself on the ability to explain to a patient their diagnosis in an easy to understand way, which I feel brings them onboard to help decide their best management strategy.
